FAQ

What kind of photographer are you?

Most photos are lightly posed, meaning I’ll help get you into place first and then encourage interaction and real expressions while we’re snapping away.
If you want to sum it up in a couple of words, my work is most often categorized as lifestyle photography.
I seek out genuine moments that make me FEEL something when you see your images.

Were are you located?

My Studio is in Boca Raton and I do work om location as well.

What will my session be like?

My sessions are fun, laid back, and meaningful. My style focus on your unique family connection.

How long will my session be?

All depends what kind of a session you will be having.

Where will my session be held?

Typically sessions take place either outdoors, or at my studio, or in my clients’ homes. For outdoor sessions, I’m happy to provide location suggestions with in 30 miles from Boca Raton.

Where will my newborn session be held?

At my Studio in Boca Raton where I can easily control the ambient temperature and make the session flow smoothly.

What should I wear?

I’ve also put together a complete session preparation guide for my clients that I send before every session. It includes information about clothes, hair/makeup, and other useful tips to help eliminate stress from your experience.

What happens if we get rained out?

I keep a number of backup dates open each month in case of bad weather, and there is no fee to reschedule to a new date if it’s raining. Florida weather is notoriously unpredictable and changes very quickly, so I typically wait to call off a session about 3 hours before the session, unless you have hired a professional make-up artist.

What if my kids don't cooperate?

I love getting to know my clients’ kids, even the ones who are shy/stubborn/you name it! I always approach the session as a new friend who’s just there to play and have a good time. I have all the patience in the world, and I find that being easy-going translates to happy kiddos. That being said, not every moment of the session is perfect, and that’s totally OK — in fact, it’s encouraged! In 10 years, I’m willing to bet that you’ll cherish the image of your toddler crying fake tears just as much as the one that we took 10 seconds later of him happily running toward the camera. My goal is to capture the personalities of the kids in front of my lens, including all of the beautiful quirks, details, and small moments that make up childhood.

What can I do to help the session go smoothly?

The BEST thing you can do is to let go and enjoy! I know it’s hard not to be stressed before your session, but babies pick up on anxiety really easily. We’ll have the best chance at getting gorgeous images if we let them happen naturally (with a little guidance from me, of course!) I want your pictures to be amazing and will do all the hard work for you! Your only job is to relax and have fun.

I saw this cute pictures on Pinterest. Can we do those?

I love Pinterest as much as the next girl! But Pinterest is best used as an initial source of inspiration, rather than a strict guideline for your photographer. If we’re focused on recreating someone else’s photos, that will leave us less time to create shots that showcase the unique aspects of your family. If you do want to use Pinterest to help you plan your session, look at it as general inspiration — for instance, use it to figure out what style of photos you like, and then search for a photographer whose images match that style.

Will I get the digital photos from my session?

My price is all inclusive, meaning the session fee includes the photographers time, and the number of edited high resolution digital images included in your package, giving you the freedom to print and share on your own.

Help! I am not photogenic at all!

Believe it or not, pretty much EVERYONE tells me this before their session, and it never turns out to be true! I love coaching my clients through having their photos taken, and I have a lot of tricks up my sleeve to make you look fabulous! When you’re having a great time, you’ll look more beautiful than you thought was possible. I promise!gallery where you can view your images, download them, add-on a collection, or order prints a la carte.

Do you edit all of your images?

Yes, I do. I do not provide unedited pictures. Each and every portrait is hand-edited to create the aesthetic I am looking for. I edit color, contrast, and then any little blemishes/etc I see.

Am I able to print digital files?

Yes. After you view your online gallery, you will be able to select a set amount of images that are included with your package. I will then send you the files for download along with a print release. You can then print and share the files however you’d like!

Where do recommend we can get our files printed?

I highly recommend using our professional printing lab. You can order prints directly through your gallery or take advantage of one of the print collections (they save you a lot of money!). Please please please (if you care about the quality and color of your photos) do not use the big box stores for printing! They are cheap for a reason. If you would like to print on your own, I am happy to refer you to a reputable lab.

Do you accept debit and credit cards?

Yes, I sure do..

Can you do major retouching on my photos? Like make me look skinnier?

I wish there was a magic photoshop button that would take away all the blemishes, stray hairs, and extra pounds. However, it is a very slow and complicated editing process which takes up a lot of time. If there is a simple scratch on a face, or a smudge on a shirt, I will correct those without you having to ask. If there is a major retouching job, like removing baby acne, or those extra 10 pounds of baby weight, I can refer external retouch services.

OK, we are ready to book, what next?

I can’t wait to work with you! Please send me a message here, and we’ll come up with a game plan for your session. After that, you’ll be able to sign your contract and submit your session deposit online. 50% is due upon booking to reserve your date, and the remainder is due on the day of your session. I also ask new clients to fill out a short questionnaire, which helps me get to know you and your hopes/goals for the session.
